Christmas tree of wishes: the dream of 10-year-old Andrey Kochetov to visit Sochi Park has come true!

Now this boy from small town Budennovsk is the hero of all news feeds. Its history reminds us all that miracles happen on New Year’s Eve.

Andrey Kochetov is 10 years old, and he is fighting a dangerous disease. Even before his illness, the boy was resting in the mountains. Since then, he dreamed of seeing the snow-capped peaks again.

The miracle happened on New Year’s Eve. Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the International Volunteer Forum in Sochi. There he learned about the “Christmas tree of wishes” charity event organized by the “Dream with Me” project. The President took a note from the tree with Andrey’s New Year wishes.

The Kochetov family flew to Sochi on December 22. Andrey visited Krasnaya Polyana resort, Olympic Park and Sochi Park.

First, Andrey rode the family slide Bowl Flyer and shared his impressions: “This is a real extreme, cool!”. Andrey also walked through themed locations, looked into the Lapushki Mini-Zoo, Owl Emporium and watched the performance at the Dolphinarium.

Andrey wished everyone not to lose faith in a miracle. He is convinced that wishes come true, you just need to really want.

Volunteers of the Dream with Me project have fulfilled more than 2000 wishes over the past year. Danya Lovygin is another project participant who was presented with a visit to Sochi Park last year. Now, more than 7,500 New Year’s cards with dreams are being sold by volunteers of the “Christmas tree of wishes” campaign.
